As someone who can be both your officiant and DJ, I can help ease the stress of planning the entire event. As your DJ, I am already helping to plan most of the details and I'm familiar with what you want. This familiarity translates over into the ceremony and helps with the coordination of the entire event.

Some Things To Consider When Working With The Officiant:
- Plan a ceremony you're comfortable with
- The Officiant can help create the "Perfect Vows"
- Officiant should be flexible; will consider your wishes
- Willingness to create a tailor-made ceremony
- Appropriate religious affiliation
- Fair fee and/or gratuity

When looking for an officiant, find someone whose beliefs resonate with yours and who can speak eloquently on your behalf. You'll want to meet several times to discuss the ceremony and come to a mutual accord.
Officiants can suggest vows or help you fine-tune your own.
Why Even Have The Ceremony?
Wedding officiants are who really make the wedding bells ring at your ceremony. Without the officiant to marry the couple, what's the point of the Wedding Ceremony? In Florida, a ceremony must be performed first by an officiant before the marriage is legalized. This is why the officiant is needed to make the union legal.
What about same sex marriages? Do you perform them?
Even though these are not recognized legally in the state of Florida, a ceremony can still be performed with a "Certificate of Marriage" presented. Again, this certificate is not legally recognized but may be in the future if the laws change.
