Guest Arrival
During this time formal photgraphs are being taken of the couple, family, and wedding/union party after the ceremony.
Classical, lite jazz, or soft love songs are usually played as the guests enter the facility and while pictures are being taken. This is the cocktail hour. DJ announces the serving of drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
SECOND HOUR
Wedding/Union Party Introductions
Instrumental background music is usually played until the DJ is ready to announce the couple. Some options would be to play the Wedding March reprise, or high energy music as the couples' favorite song. Traditionally, this music has been approved ahead of time with the newlywed couple.
Wedding/Union Party arrives at reception
DJ introduces the wedding/union party
DJ announces that dinner is served
DJ plays lite jazz and love songs during dinner
THIRD HOUR
DJ announces the cake cutting & toast
Newlywed couples first dance or blessing and toast
Then the:
Parent and child dance (Father/Daughter, Mother/Son)
Wedding/Union Party dance
Dancing/Party Music
DJ plays dance/party music and invites family and guests to dance
All songs are preselected by the newlywed couple for each individual dance/event.
FOURTH HOUR
DJ announces bouquet and garter toss
DJ announces anniversary dance or any other special event
DJ continues dance music with participation dances
Last dance of the newlywed couple
Grand exit of newlywed couple
Songs for all events are preselected by the newlywed couple.
